Donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) were handed over by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Yahya, Permanent Secretary (Energy), Ministry of Energy to Yang Mulia Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) at the Sukarelawan Belia Operation Centre at Pusat Bahagia, Pulaie in an effort to combat COVID-19.

First Domestic Supply of Refined Fuel Products From Hengyi

Hengyi Industries Sendirian Berhad (Hengyi) today, 18th May 2010 held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officiate the first supply of transportation fuels (Gasoline, Diesel and Jet A1 fuel) from Hengyi to Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd (BSM), marking the start of the Pulau Muara Besar Refinery’s supply of refined fuel products to the domestic market. The Refinery is expected to reduce Brunei’s dependency on imported fuel products while also generating products for export.


Charity Drive Lends a Helping Hand to 70 Families

In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, the Ministry of Energy, Department of Electrical Services (DES), Safety, Health & Environment National Authority (SHENA), and Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (Petroleum Authority) with the support of the Persatuan Kereta Tahan Lasak Brunei (PKTLB)  Welfare Committee  and Brunei Youth Volunteers reached out to underprivileged families through a Ramadhan Charity Drive held on 15th and 17th May 2020.

The Ministry of Energy held a Donation Ceremony for orphans on 16th May 2020 in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan 1441H/2020M, at the East Wing Level 1 Conference Hall at the Prime Minister’s Office Building. Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Md. Hussein, Minister of Energy.

The World's First International Hydrogen Supply Chain realised between Brunei and Japan

The World's First International Hydrogen Supply Chain between the Government of Brunei Darussalam and Japan reached a milestone after successfully extracting H2 from a liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) shipped from Brunei. The demonstration project is operated by the Advanced Hydrogen Energy Chain Association for Technology Development (AHEAD) led by the Japanese consortium, which includes Japanese conglomerates Mitsubishi, Nippon Yusen, Mitsui and Chiyoda Corp.

​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam Order, 2019 which commenced on 31 December 2019.  The Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam Order, 2019, amongst other things, provides for the formation of the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam, its Board and matters connected to the operations, functions and duties of the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam.
