Kementerian Tenaga sukacita memaklumkan bahawa langkah-langkah bersesuaian telah diambil bagi menjamin pembekalan tenaga elektrik, minyak sektor pengangkutan, dan tong gas LPG, adalah sentiasa mencukupi bagi memenuhi permintaan awam untuk keperluan harian.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 1st March 2020 consented to participate in the "Riadah Berbasikal Semangat Kebangsaan" in conjunction with the 36th National Day at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in Bandar Seri Begawan. Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Mu'min.

The Ministry of Energy and its Department was among 161 teams involving over 26,000 participants that participated in a march-past to mark Brunei Darussalam 36th National Day on 23rd February 2020. The Ministry's team, comprising of 100 participants was led by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Yahya, Permanent Secretary (Energy).

The Brunei National Energy Research Institute (BNERI); the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), and the Centre for Advanced Material and Energy Sciences (CAMES) under Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), in collaboration with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) hosted a seminar entitled "'The Role of Hydrogen in ASEAN's Energy Transition" on 20th February 2020 at the Empire Hotel. Supported by the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications; the Ministry of Energy and ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI), the event was opened by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mat Suny Haji Md Hussein, Minister of Energy.

Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy attended the graduation ceremony of the Offshore Reliability and Maintenance Contract (ORMC) Welding School on 12th February 2020 at the Marine Construction Yard in Kuala Belait. The ceremony saw ORMC's Welding School's first batch of seven local students to complete welder training programme. Also in attendance was Dr. Ceri Powell, Managing Director of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd (BSP).

The Department of Electrical Services, Ministry of Energy unveiled new vehicles in a ceremony officiated by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy. The ceremony was held on Monday, 10th February 2020 at the Department of Electrical Services' branch in Batu Bersurat.
